What is Product Management?

Is it an extra cost?
No, Product Management is included with the HDS Cloud Apps platform.
Do I need to build a separate menu for EPOS, kiosk and mobile ordering?
No. There's one product catalogue, and EPOS, self-serve kiosk and mobile/QR ordering all read it live — a change in one place appears on all three the next time that screen loads, with no separate menu to keep in sync.
Catalogue & Categories
How do I control which channel a product appears on?
Each product has its own EPOS, kiosk and mobile visibility switches, so you can sell something at the till without it appearing on the self-serve kiosk, or vice versa.
Can I hide a product without deleting it?
Yes. Turning a product's availability off removes it from sale immediately while keeping it in your catalogue, ready to switch back on.
Allergens & Calories
Does it support allergen labelling?
Yes. Every product can be tagged with its allergens, shown automatically to guests wherever they order — kiosk, mobile ordering or online.
Does it track full nutritional information like fat, protein or carbs?
No. Products carry a calorie count and, for drinks, an alcohol units figure, both shown to guests on the self-serve kiosk — but there's no field for fat, protein, carbohydrate or other nutritional macros today.
Pricing & Bulk Tools
Can I set different prices for different sites or ordering channels?
Not as a built-in feature — there's a single price per product rather than separate prices for delivery versus in-store, or site to site. The one pricing variation available is staff tiered pricing (see below).
Can I give staff their own pricing automatically?
Yes. A staff member can be flagged for tiered pricing, and the till automatically applies a separate staff price instead of the normal customer price whenever they ring up a sale — useful for staff meals or discounts without a manual override at the till.
Can I bulk import or export my whole product catalogue?
Yes. You can export your full catalogue to a CSV file, edit it in a spreadsheet, and re-import it — useful for large menus or bulk price changes. A separate CSV tool covers just the staff tiered prices.
Can I duplicate a product instead of building a similar one from scratch?
Yes, a Duplicate action clones an existing product, including its modifiers and pricing, as a starting point you can then adjust.
Multi-Site
If I run multiple sites, does updating one site's catalogue update the others?
No. Each site keeps its own independent catalogue. Copying a catalogue to a new site is a one-off setup step when that site is onboarded, not continuous syncing — a later change at one site won't appear at another automatically.
